Hello and welcome to the F.A.Q. page. Wedding Photography in which I report the frequently asked questions I am asked by future married couples. I’m sure you will find what is reported useful, but if you have any other questions contact me in the way you prefer… I will be happy to answer you.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR RATES? My commission starts from €1650 + VAT for the basic wedding photo shoot. Let me know your needs and I will send you a detailed custom quote.
  • WHERE ARE YOU TRAVELING? At any place! Distance is not an obstacle; I love traveling all over the world.
  • WILL YOU BE THE ONE TO PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING? Absolutely yes. Tommaso D’Angelo Photography is not the classic photography studio that takes multiple weddings in one day. Every year I accept a limited number of requests to be able to better concentrate on each event and make it unique and perfect. Your wedding will be followed entirely by me both as regards the photographic shooting phase and the part dedicated to the post-production of the images, the printing and binding of the album.
  • CAN WE MEET YOU BEFORE BOOKING? Of course, I think it is absolutely essential to get to know each other before proceeding with the engagement. We can meet in my photography studio in Alcamo, Sicily. If you are far away, I love video calls!
  • HOW LONG SHOULD WE WAIT BEFORE SEEING THE PHOTOS? Generally the delivery of the service takes place between 1 and 6 months.
  • WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE? I don’t think I have a well-defined style, I love having fun and with the camera I want to create images that have the ability to excite even after decades. I want to tell a story and to do so I use photo-journalistic techniques that allow me to capture the spontaneity of events, leaving you free to enjoy the day and be with your closest friends and relatives without suffering any constraints. Only in this way will I be able to discreetly capture unique and unrepeatable moments such as a father’s tear, a friend’s embrace, a look of complicity, a mother who affectionately adjusts her veil, a child who yawns during the ceremony, an uncle who dances drunk on the table and many other special moments. My story wants to make you remember the moments you experienced first hand, but also everything that happened around you and that that day due to emotion, euphoria and confusion you were unable to grasp or notice: the details, the nuances and many small, but very important, details. If during the day you also want posed photographs I will be very happy to take them, I will create dynamic and static images for you that want to highlight the most romantic, funny, sweet or crazy aspect of your personality.   • DO YOU ALSO MAKE VIDEOS? I don’t make videos, but I recommend professionals with whom I have worked for several years to future spouses. I have selected videographers in line with my style and who have the same passion and the same desire to get excited and excite. I strongly believe, and experience confirms this to me every day, that if the spouses choose me, and also want a video of their wedding, they willingly let me advise them and are always very satisfied since the two final products are complementary and in line. I would like to underline that our long collaboration leads us to work with a great understanding, without each other interfering in the activities of the other, with a look or a small gesture we understand each other and, what is quite important during the ceremony, we manage to move with discretion and in silence. In case you decide to choose the video operators recommended by me, I will not deal with the commercial aspects and logistics, but you will do everything directly with them. Having said the above, you are still free to contact whoever you deem suitable for your needs without forgetting to keep in mind some fundamental requests which, if they cannot be respected, would force me to give up the photo shoot:
    • video operators must work with reflex or mirrorless cameras and not with obsolete and bulky video cameras
    • the number of video operators must not exceed 2
    • additional lights cannot be used as they would ruin the atmosphere and the real colours
  • CAN MY UNCLE AND MY FRIENDS TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE EVENT? Sure – but not with my camera!
  • IS THERE A TIME LIMIT OR A LIMITED NUMBER OF SHOTS FOR THE WEDDING DAY PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICE? The day is entirely dedicated to you, the couple, and begins with the preparations and ends with the cutting of the cake. I don’t set limits in terms of number of shots. During this period of time I will be at your complete disposal for all the photos you want.
  • WHO WILL CHOOSE THE PHOTOGRAPHS TO POST PRODUCE? The choice will be made by me. But if among the original photographs you find some photos that interest you, I will do the post production for you at no additional cost.
  • WILL ALL PHOTOS BE PROFESSIONALLY RETOUCHED? Safe! I will correct the exposure and colors for all images in your private Web Gallery.
  • DO YOU TOUCH UP EXPRESSION WRINKLES, DARK CIRCLES, PROMPT EARS, CROOKED NOSES, EXCESS WEIGHT ETC..? The post production work I do on the selected images does not include photo retouching, I only correct any pimples, cold sores or small bruises. I don’t do fashion photo shoots on the wedding day.
  • HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE GET? I usually deliver the photos from the album plus all the shots.
  • WE HAVE SEEN MANY PHOTOGRAPHS ON THE SITE AND ON THE BLOG, DO YOU ALWAYS ASK FOR A RELEASE TO USE THE IMAGES? Yes, I always ask for a release because it is essential for me to be able to communicate the work I do on the web.
  • DO YOU WORK ONLY IN AMBIENT LIGHT OR DO YOU ALSO USE ARTIFICIAL LIGHTS? In 99% of cases I work using ambient light, but in some extreme situations I am forced to use flash.
  • HOW WILL OUR PHOTOGRAPHS BE STORED, WILL YOU MAKE A BACK-UP? The cameras I use have a double slot for memory cards, this means that while I am taking pictures I will have a back-up of your photographs. At the end of the day of photography I make a third back-up on an external hard drive. Upon returning to the studio, before formatting the memory cards, all the work will be saved on a NAS I own and automatically uploaded to a cloud server for the final archive.
  • DO YOU HAVE ANY CUSTOMER REVIEWS? Yes, check out my Facebook page or on Matrimonio.com .
  • CAN YOU PRINT AN ALBUM FOR US? Obviously! I have a printing and binding laboratory inside my photography studio. Your album will be hand-bound with the manufacturing process that distinguishes high Italian quality and using fine materials. I have lots of colors available so you can customize your album as you wish. The only limit is your imagination! Soon I will create a photo gallery with the albums that I can create but in the meantime you can view them in my studio.
  • DO YOU TAKE GROUP AND/OR FAMILY PORTRAITS? Yes, as long as they are creative!
  • DO WE HAVE TO PROVIDE YOUR MEALS? Yes please!
  • OK, WE WANT YOU AS OUR PHOTOGRAPHER! HOW DO WE BOOK YOU? It’s easy! Contact me to check my availability, and once we have set the date and type of services, you will only need to send me a 30% deposit. You can pay as you prefer: credit card, Pay Pal, bank transfer, etc
  • DO YOU OFFER ADDITIONAL SERVICES? Obviously! Ask me for additional services such as “Engagement”, “Trash the Dress”, “The Morning After”, “Maternity”, etc.!
  • WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? Since I started this activity I have been shooting with digital SLRs and Nikon professional lenses but since 2019 I have started updating my equipment with Sony mirrorless cameras and professional lenses. While for post production I use Macintosh computers and Photoshop.
  • ARE YOU A FULL-TIME PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER? Yes, my Italian VAT number is: 02305400810.
